Description

Part of the Vela Supernova Remnant, this nebula is a small part of a huge remnant left over after a supernova explosion that took place about 11 000 years ago. distance 815 LY.

Captured over several dark nights in early March with my OSC using UHC filter and O3 filter and then Ha added from new Mono cam - which arrived a few days ago - during 80%+ moonlight.

Will re-image with Mono cam only as eager to see the difference after getting an SII filter in the next couple of days. Will image in low to no moon as base of comparison with Sii, Ha, O3 filters.
